Swaledale

There have been two sightings of Black Grouse during the surveys in Swaledale. One was seen on the moorland and another was seen in a tree at the edge of the moorland. This is a Red List species that has suffered severe population decline due to loss of habitat. It can be found in the uplands of Wales, Scotland and some areas of the Pennines.
