Finding your own voice in nature poetry

Yorkshire is blessed with precious peatland habitats, celebrated in ‘Give Peat a Chance’; a new exhibition at the Dales Countryside Museum.

Musician, poet and writer Sarah Smout will guide you and your children in a special workshop, helping you to explore your relationship to these magical spaces. The workshop will lead you through a variety of fun, playful approaches to creating poems that connect with nature and tell a story of peatlands.

Following the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to add their poem to the new exhibition alongside work by Sarah and other local artists.

Free workshop at the Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes
